FOS also share marital bliss!

A cold day in January found FOS ready to ride for ice cream and HOT coffee.

Do you think we have enough layers to keep warm?

Jim and Karen will keep each other warm no matter what the temperature!

Boy, does that hot chocolate taste good.

Warming up at Southern Grind.

Hot food, good friends and enough exercise to feel invigorated.

Jim and Bernie are having trouble deciding what to eat.

Mike looks ready to tackle the cold ride home.

Fun, friends and fitness. That?s what we?re all about.

Joy is ready for something yummy.

Our ride today was windy, cool, but well worth the effort. We made it to the New York Bagel on time, had a fine lunch, (thanks to Don and Sherry Anderson for setting this up) then we were treated to a tour of the Orange Beach Fire Station and training facility (thanks to Randy and Shari Sampson for arranging).

The lounge featured a beautiful hand made US Flag Table, a piece of 9/11 towers steel I-beam, lots of comfy lounges, and a well fortified kitchen.

A beautiful hand-made painting memorializing 9/11.

And a tour of the Training multi-floor smoke and fire building. It's comforting to know OB has a very adequate EMS/FIRE force to deal with all emergencies, land and water, and yes, on the trail..

Kayaking on the Magnolia River with 16 paddlers on a beautiful. We are gaining many new Paddlers and we'll be exploring many launch sites this Winter. Don and Sherry Anderson on the right trying an inflatable two person kayak, there still talking to each other last we knew.

Don and Sherry just cruising down the Magnolia River..

Only spot on any rivers in this area that's actually clear as a bell. Perfect but shallow.

Lunch is always enjoyed by the typical FOS kayakers. Nobody shared either.

A wonderful, classy, scenic FOOD CRAFT luncheon. Total enjoyment and great fun after a very cool days ride.

Early riders showing off our FOS Bench, Pete, Donna, Larry, lynette, Bob, and Carl.

Jim and Karen finally made it down Christmas Day, so thankful to be at Gulf Shores.

The new Picnic Beach resturaunt, a fun place to eat and enjoyed by all, even had healthy food options.

Our gathering group gets larger each time we meet, despite cooler temps. Almost every type of bike is present in that group.

Pics of Picnic Beach fun at lunch.

Picnic Beach and the unusual tables so appropriate and very heavy duty, slab-sawn from huge tree trunk.

Shots of Don and Sherry Anderson (founders of FOS) and Morrie and Mary Frisbie also at the Picnic Beach lunch.

Frank and Kris Hamilton lunching at the Picnic Beach.

Donna doing her famous massage after our lunch, Carl expressing his pleasure with her technique, and Phylis waiting her turn.
