Folks on Spokes
Gulf Shores, Alabama

December 1st - 18th, 2015

Twelve hardy cyclists joined for the first ride of the year. We're huddled around our FOS BENCH on Rattlesnake Trail.

We needed two pictures to get everyone in!

FOS numbers are growing daily! We had 20 riders today, December 4. More arriving daily!

We had lunch at a new restaurant in Orange Beach.

As usual, lots of smiling faces and good times with the FOS friends.

Ardie and Kim are with us this week. SO glad to see them pedaling with us again!

Dec. 7 ride led us through the park and Gulf Shores, ending at Acme Oyster House for lunch. Yum!

Our group was so large they seated us at two separate tables. Welcome back FOS and newbies.

Wednesday, Dec. 8 was a "work day" refurbishing our bench on Rattlesnake Trail. Great painting, ladies!

Looks better than new!

Carl and Morrie replaced the seat on our bench so we should be in good shape for several years. Good work fellas!

We had our first FOS campfire of the season, Dec. 9.

As usual, good food, good friends and a wonderful evening, while we wait for the rest of of our FOS to arrive at GSP.

Seems we need to move closer to the fire as the evening cool breezes bring a chill.

So, Ardie and Morrie, did you have enough to eat?

Thursday Dec 10, was another beautiful day to get out and stretch our legs.

After riding into Gulf Shores, we stopped for ice cream at our favorite soda fountain.

On Saturday our ride included a stop at Ron's "fix it station" to pump up some tires.

We rode to Wolfs Bay on our Saturday ride.

Lunch at the Cayman Grill in Orange Beach was a great way to end a very busy week for FOS. The great weather has kept us pedaling with smiles on our faces!

So glad to see our fearless leader (aka Jim) feeling better. Dec. 15 ride was around Lake Shelby with beautiful clear skies overhead.

The FOS lunch bunch ate at the Rosemary Dunes shelter before continuing on our ride.

Ron's Fix It Station came in handy when Rusty had a flat tire. We were back on the road in record time!

FOS never give up the chance to have a little fun. The bike ride was rained out Dec. 17 but we met for lunch at Butts By The Beach. As you can see, lots of smiles here.

Jim needed a seat away from the crowd...he's still feeling a bit under the weather, but obviously doesn't want to miss out on the fun.
