Bike the Bend, June 7-8, 2014

We rode on Friday enjoying the Pumpkinvine Trail. We went through beautiful Amish countryside and bought cheese at the Cheese Store. Rode about 30 miles that day.

Ice cream and yogurt stands are like a giant magnet to our group.

Bobbie points out the great selection of cheese.

On Saturday we thought we would ride some of the Bike the Bend trail so we could get the total miles in from the Bike the Bend ride. So we rode about 8 miles that day.

On Sunday it was raining in the early morning so we got up at 6:30 and went for the breakfast that they had for us. Pancakes and fruit and sausage. It was great. By the time we started our ride the sun came out and it turned out beautiful. We had a great ride enjoying all the SAG stops they provided and all the friendly people cheering us on. We rode about 28 miles. So for a riding total we got about 68 miles all together.

Off on a damp start.

First SAG stop.

Over the bridge, weather improving.

Notre Dame SAG.

Having to walk over a slippery bridge.

Keep on riding.

End of the trail SAG stop, now turn around and go back.

WE DID IT !!!

Enjoying pizza at Carl and Beth's after a full day of Bike the Bend.

Monday we toured the awesome Notre Dame Campus. Yes, that is Touch Down Jesus.
