21 FOS trucked to Pensacola Beach and rode from Opal Beach to Navarre Beach and back on the Santa Rosa Sound. The day was 'the best' in all respects. New blacktop, low 70's, 6mph winds, total sun. The ocean glimmered, both sides of the road.

Flounder Chowder House didn't disappoint as the food and drinks were wonderful.

Guess who's having Key Line Pie for their main meal. Actually they took most of it home as dessert after their LuLu's dinner and they shared with others. Thanks for posing, Darrold and Nancy Folz.

32+- FOS gathered to ride to MATT's Ice Cream Shop, GS, for some delicious lickings. Absolutely the finest conditions to ride with the best of friends on some beautiful trails.

On the way we experienced the NEW trail from the East End of the Cabins road, to the West end thru to the NEW Eagle's Nest trail. Betty challenged us to a closeup so here it is. Apparently all are having fun and the Eagle's white head was in view over the top of the nest.

Matt's doesn't disappoint as 25 flavors of delicious ice cream satisfied all these FOS. This was the perfect venue for hosting all of our FOS and our sweet tooth cravings. Matt arranged to open early to accommodate us.

Mary, Kim, Mike and Carol seem happy to indulge themselves.

FOS co-founders, Don and Sherry Andersen along with Warren (87 this week) and Joanne Dowling (wont give her age) look very comfortable hanging out in this venue.

A fine place for a fun stop by FOS.

30 some bikes makes a entertaining statement. Looks like a bike Valet.

On the way back to the CG a brief stop at the Hangout to check beach conditions was another treat to our workout.

Many FOS tracked to Northern branch of the Fish River for a 6.2 mile paddle on a beautiful day. Big Daddy's Grill was a good reward at the finish.

Ted and Sheila Leavitt sliding thru the water with two of the three wooden kayaks with us today, all of which Ted made with his own hands.

Then our regular delicious, warm and friendly 'campfire' was a fine end to a beautiful day.

More pics of our regulars enjoying the hot fire on a cool nite by the water.

Bernie, Tom, Chris, Al and Jean.

Park Ranger Dave paid a visit, spoke a few words, and helped clean up the leftovers. Pictured are Parker, Edyth, Betty and Peter.

The Birthday Boy, Warren Dowling (87 today) and Joanne, Scott and Carol Sener, and Claudia Kennedy probably listening to one of Warren's stories. What an inspiration to all of us FOS, thank you for keeping it moving.

Donna, Sherry, and Don, Marilyn and Joe Armour staying close to the fire tonight.

Our destination today, after riding 15.5 miles, was the beautiful Wolf Bay Park, OB. It's always a delightful place to eat lunch.

A nice group just enjoying the Day with friends, a good refuel, and biking the beautiful area of gulf shores and Orange Beach. We are sooo lucky to have such assets to experience.

Another shot of the same shelter on Wolf Bay.

Apparently Warren survived his birthday yesterday since , you see here, he's still standing and biking at 87. Keepin it moving, and setting a good example for us all.
Today we saw Lefty, her babies, a smaller alligator, about 6', walk across the trail just ahead of us, and a 1' wide tortoise looking at us as we stood watching her peeking from her burrow. Was a perfect day, all around.

Half Fast bikers peddled ten trail and highway miles before arriving at Rita's Ice Cream on Thurs. What a gorgeous 70 degree day it was!

Rita's Yogurt was a fine place to rest, discuss a whole lot of things, pleasure ourselves with great yogurt or ice cream , and enjoy a crowd of the best of ambitious FOS friends.

A very colorful spot to enjoy a treat today.

These guys, FOS, are refreshed and ready to chalk up many more mile for the return trip. We are all anxious to experience the NEW trail at the end of Rosemary connection to the canal bridge. It looks like a couple of weeks to complete thru to the canal. 34 FOS rode from 15 to 25 miles on a beautiful sunny day today.
